A decomposed body of a man was found in an area near the sea in the Puke area of Tongatapu, on August 19.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Tevita Vailea said today nothing suspicious was found by Police when locating the body. This was after people in this area spotted the body on Thursday afternoon.
He said what they can release now is that the deceased must have been dead for a few days, due to the level of decomposition.
“We are waiting on the doctor’s report to help with our investigation, including his identification, since we have received no missing report,” he said.
At the same time, Police also sought the assistance of town officers in villages near Puke on any information they could provide.
The Police investigation continues.
